Rolling Over

We had our neighbors over last weekend and their little girl, Parker is about 4 months younger than Natalie, was rolling all over the floor. Natalie was just watching and studying, I guess. Then, the next day Natalie started rolling all over the floor herself. I will put her in her crib one way and when I go to get her, she is laying to total opposite direction.

I have also learned that it is easier at times to put both kids in the bath at the same time versus trying to keep Carter from helping me too much by getting the floor all wet and then having to bath him next. Natalie loves bath time!

Diagnosed a Year Ago

We got diagnosed a little of a year ago, can you believe it has been a year! I think back on it and sometimes feel it has flown by and others feel like it has been one of the longest year of my life. One thing is foresure, God is truly amazing! Natalie is so happy and is doing wonderfully right now.

We go back to Dallas for our first big check up since getting to come home at the end of May. I am excited to see our nurse friends and to let Dr. Zellers see how much she has grown. My goal is for her to be at least 17lbs, but we will see (I can always hope). She has been gaining weight pretty good, so there is a good chance.

Natalie is eating 3 times a day and loving food. She does not like green beans however, but that is okay we can work with that. She loves fruit and banana flavored oatmeal. I mixed oatmeal, bananas and formula together. I try to add either some formula or a little butter to her food whenever I can, anything to help add on some pounds.

She is finally starting to think about getting up on all fours. Anytime I put her on her tummy, she immediately rolls over to her back. I have really been working on trying to get her knees underneath her and putting objects that she wants (the tv remote) in front her to get her to crawl or scoot. She is a little behind in that area, but I can't complain with all she has been through.

I do not think she will ever sleep on her tummy like most babies do at this age. She is so sweet, she sleeps on her side all curled up. I will try to get a picture someday, without waking her up.

I wanted to thank you all for your continue support and prayers for Natalie. I truly believe we would not be where we are today if it was not for the prayers and support from everyone, thank you. Natalie is our little miracle baby...God is good!

15lbs 5oz

Today was Natalie's 9 month well visit. She is 15lbs 5oz! She is still only in the 3rd percentile, but she is staying steady and is on the weight chart. Her O2 level was 87, which is higher than it has been.

Standing - Somewhat

Natalie has been bearing some weight on her legs. I can put her up next to her activity table and she will stand there holding on to it for a long time, before sitting down or falling down. She is also sitting on her own wonderfully now!

Natalie is also eating so much better. We are now giving her baby food 3 times a day and she is still taking 5 bottles, so I am hoping that next week for her 9 month appointment, she pulls big numbers for the weight. She loves bananas and oatmeal and pinneapple, weird I know. I am trying to make most of Natalie's baby food so I can add a little bit of butter to it or formula to add calories. I never made Carter's baby food, but since I am not working anymore I figure I have time now.

Carter is doing great! We started a new deal with him about a month ago, when he is good or goes to the bathroom in the potty he gets a Chuck-E-Cheese token, so far we have 23 tokens. Larry gets the joy of taking him tomorrow to Chuck-E-Cheese, I know lucky him. We tried to so many different things, but this seems to work so far. He even went poop in the potty yesterday!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend full of family and fun!

My cousins and aunt and uncle from Dallas came in, so Carter was so excited to see them. We spent a lot of time with them while we were in Dallas and have not seen them since we got home.

We had a big family gathering on Saturday to hunt eggs and eat together. Carter has a blast hunting eggs. This was really his first year to hunt. In the past he has been either to small or was sick. This was also Natalie first big family experience. She did okay at first, but then got tired and a little overwhelmed.

Sunday, we went to my Grandma's for lunch. The kids played outside in the backyard and Natalie just hung out. Overall, we had a wonderful Easter and what a beautiful Easter Sunday it was here in Amarillo to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Jesus Loves Me

Here is Carter singing "Jesus Loves Me." Of course, we have puppy in our arms. Sorry, I have to help out a little.

Hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend!
