Well, we had a slight set back. Natalie was not tolerating the shunt; her stats were dropping. We have decided the best option for now is to remove the shunt altogether. She will be given medicine to help keep the VSD open to hold her off until the next surgery. She will be able leave the hospital after she recovers; with all of that being said, I will be permanently living in Dallas for the next several months until her next surgery. The deal now is holding her off until the next surgery. She has to be a certain weight.
Thank you all for the prayers. Natalie should be out of surgery in the next couple of minutes. I will update everyone later tonight when she in her ICU room stabilized and settled.
