Personally, I feel like we have a new Nat💖! She still has a long way to go, but today was a good day. Not only did she take a lap around the hallways, but she finally ate a little!
I got her up and sitting in a chair for a bit to eat some chicken noodle soup. We then had a quick wipes down and changed her pjs. She even let me brush her hair and let me tell you, it was a hot mess😜
She rested for a bit and then. Volunteer came by and we went upstairs to arts and craft time. She are a cute little owl out of a cup. I know she does not look happy in this picture, but she did have a good time and wanted to go. There was a few other patients there with us. We did not stay long, she wanted to come back and rest.
We came back had a small amount of ice cream and then it was time for the nurse to come in. She got her evening meds and we got up and walked to the bathroom and brushed teeth (which has not been done in 2 days). She then got all comfy in bed and is watching a little Netflix.
She is still in pain, but nothing like last night. She also told me, that her walking helped make her feel better. We have been talking about how things will be changing some for her, because she will not be able to bend over or twist for a long time. We will just find a new way of doing things.
