I can not believe she had surgery 10 days ago! Natalie is doing better each day and getting stronger.
She slept through the night last night! This was huge for me, because I got to sleep through most of the night too. I did wake up a few times to check on her.
We went to our pediatrician, Dr Scott this morning for a check up. Natalie grew almost a full inch and a half! We felt like she was taller, but so fun to actually see it🤗. She is also only down 1lb! I really thought she would list about 5lbs during all of this, especially since she is still not eating great.
Dr Scott also took her bandage off for me. I really did not want to have to do that myself, so I asked her to help me. To be honest, I knew it would bad. I held Natalie in my lap and Dr Scott and Nurse Cassie helped remove it. The process was awful! She was screaming in pain. I hate bandages, sometimes I think they are the worse part of the surgery or at least in the top 5.
Natalie was so happy when the bandage was off. Her incisions look great! She is a little irriated from the tape, but that should go away in a few days.
The other amazing part of day 10 post opt was, she got to take an actual shower and wash her hair!
